During the growing season, abnormal crop growth or poor production areas can show up that require special attention in understanding their causes. A crop diagnostic is focused strongly on following a process of:

• analysis to distinguish the causes of problem,

Crop diagnostics can involve one or a combination of scouting, soil sampling, tissue sampling and possibly using remote sensing imagery .
